Copley Middle School Goodyear Blimp Tour

June 1st, 2016

Tire Source sponsored a Goodyear blimp tour of the Wingfoot Lake Blimp Hangar. Students from the 5th grade of Copley Middle School had a chance to visit the blimp hangar and see face to face The Spirit of Goodyear Blimp. The students also viewed a short film about the history of the Goodyear blimps. Another point of attraction at the blimp hangar is the construction area. Students had the chance to see old and current drawing plans for blimp construction. The highlight by far was the students seeing The Spirit of Goodyear just a few feet off the ground with a large United States Flag waving on its side. Tire Source hopes to continue offering student Goodyear tours to other local schools for some time to come.
